WebMay 17, 2008 · We took the spur herd trail to the open ledges off Mt. Dickey. That is a detour well worth the small effort. A very small amount of bushwhacking was required to get over to the ledges but it wasn't that difficult and it turned out to be one of the best spots on the whole hike.
