WebOct 12, 2014 · The diphosphine of dppf in complex 1 lengthens the Fe–Fe bond upon coordinating the two Fe atoms, among the longest of Fe–Fe bonds in the synthetic active sites of Fe–Fe hydrogenases. Complex 1 can catalyze the reduction of protons in the presence of HBF 4 but does not catalyze the oxidation of dihydrogen. WebGd2Fe17 crystallizes in the hexagonal P6_3/mmc space group. The structure is three-dimensional. there are two inequivalent Gd sites. In the first Gd site, Gd is bonded in a 12-coordinate geometry to eighteen Fe atoms. There are a spread of Gd–Fe bond distances ranging from 2.98–3.28 Å. In the second Gd site, Gd is bonded in a 8-coordinate …
WebJun 20, 2013 · The valence state of Fe has a direct effect on the Fe-Fe bond length. The double-well Fe-Fe distribution of Figs. 2(d–f) indicates that two Fe valence environments are present at all times.

We found that FeO 2 shows a metal-insulator transition (MIT) under high pressure. The MIT is not a Mott type but a band insulator type which is driven by the O 2 dimer bond length change.
Webisomer has a bond length of 259 pm (25). It is in fact only rarely that the iron-iron bond length in complexes with composition such that single Fe-Fe bonds are expected is close to the sin-gle-bond value of 248 pm. In a compilation of 26 values greater than 252 pm, I obtained a mean of 264 pm. Representative complexes are listed in Table 2 ...
WebMar 2, 1999 · The Fe–Fe exchange-interaction constant increases linearly for x=0–4, is almost constant for x=4–6, and then increases significantly for x=6–8.
