WebJul 4, 2012 · ok! so ive figured it out! It appeared to have no effect when I adjusted the skin weights with the paint tool, because supposedly Maya seems to only remember positive values. So instead of setting the paint tools value to zero to remove areas I dont want affected by the joint, instead i’ve adjusted all weights using positive values only.
