When Corman saw it, he said this proved THE TERROR wasn't so slow--look how quickly the action moved now. He didn't realize that Bogdanovich had speeded it up via editing. You are welcome to believe or disbelieve this story. WebThen, the following year, there was further shooting by Francis Ford Coppola, Dennis Jakob, Monte Hellman, Jack Hill and, for the last day, Jack Nicholson. Corman later did some retakes, presumably to bind things together. That the story of the film makes little sense is not surprising, that it looks like a consistent work is astonishing.
